overview
The new state-of-the-art in high power, ultra-narrow bandwidth light generation. The ideal source for fast high resolution spectroscopic and LIDAR applications. Description
The LAI 101 PAL-DLIS Diode Laser Injection Seeder is a revolutionary new way to control the frequency of tunable solid state-lasers. Typically, laser frequency is controlled by introducing intra-resonator loss using prisms, etalons or gratings. The unique DLIS system works by injecting photons of the correct spectral characteristics into the pulsed laser resonator. This provides the ultimate in high pulse energy frequency stabilized narrow bandwidth sources. With the DLIS, our PAL™ laser systems provide tunable, nearly transform limited pulses, ideal for high resolution spectroscopy or LIDAR. Typical linewidths are under 200 MHz. With the frequency stabilization option the output frequency of the laser can be locked to atomic or molecular resonances, or to a scannable Fabry-Perot reference etalon. Output energy exceeds 350 mJ/pulse, and the high power output can be efficiently frequency converted with our wavelength conversion accessories to provide tunable narrow bandwidth light at almost any wavelength.
